About Us

Comedy? In an art gallery? Why not?!

There's nothing like discovering your new favorite comic before they become successful! That's what Nice One Comedy is- we've curated New York comics from seasoned to up-and-coming that work the ever popping New York comedy scene.

Since 2021, we've partnered with Culture Lab Plaxall Gallery's performance venue to put on shows during the pandemic outdoors on their beautiful stage. 

​

In 2022 we moved indoors as we feel it's a better experience for both the comic and the audience. We now feature our shows in their lounge for a more intimate experience or in their theater space. 

​

In 2023 we won BOAST's "Best Standup Comedy venue!" 

​

Each ticket purchase comes with a free drink from our sponsor, QNSY cocktails, or try our local craft beers on tap. 

​

Culture Lab also has a piece of live comedy history, as it was the venue that Comedy Central and Saturday Night Live's Michael Che used to perform standup to the thousands of Long Island City community members that were craving a communal experience in 2020 after lockdown.
